In Christ Alone

This hymn gets stuck in my mind, esp. during the days post Easter. One of my colleagues passed away unexpectedly recently - actually just on the day of Good Friday(and we got the news on the Monday after Easter). He was my tech lead when I joined my current company 5 years ago. It is still very shocking, saddening and upsetting as of now to many people, including me. He came from China, and won a gold medal of International Chemistry Olympiad when he was in his high school (I would believe even now some Chinese high school students remember his stories and achievements, and trying hard to follow his example to achieve high in their schools). There is a facebook group created in memory of him, with 326 members as of now (I never saw such an group effort in setting up pages in memory of a person on web so quickly before). All of the memories about him is his smiles, laughing, cheerfulness, care-giving, loving, smart, kindness, ..., every kind of good words you can think of for a good fellow.

In Christ Alone - everything in this world shall pass; only in Christ can we find strength and hope (Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:24-25). Only Christ is "My Comforter, my all in all".
